Lightwave 3D models
These pages contain the 3D models myself and others have created over the years for use in Lightwave and other CGI packages. They are free to download and use in any non-commercial renders and animations that you may make, but use is restricted for commercial purposes. If you wish to use one of the models in a commercial venture, feel free to contact me here and I'll get back to you. The answer will most likely be yes, assuming it's not going to violate someone else's copyright.
Simply select a page of models from the categories on the right to proceed. You will be taken to the page where you can view renders of the models and download them in whichever format suits you best. Almost all were originally created in Newteks Lightwave 3D program, so other formats may have very basic mesh information and little in the way of setup files or texturing.
Can I request a model?

3D pros and hobbyists get a lot of requests from people asking that we make their models for them. Software like Lightwave and Blender is not easy, it takes a long time to learn it and even longer to get proficient with. Even a small model can take many hours to finish, so stop and think how many weeks you're asking me to spend on your 6-mile long Star Trek ship you scrawled on the back of a napkin. Contrary to popular opinion, the software does NOT do it all for you. </rant>
Please try the software I've linked to. I made the effort to learn the program because the benefits are self evident, and I can now make my own fevered ideas come to life. If you take the time and persist, you might also find the same. Some of the people I've made models for ended up having me talk them into trying to make their own, and within a few weeks they were hooked and started producing their own pictures and models. Try it, you'll like it. ;-)
